Hi, guys, I’d appreciate your opinion on this vintage S.T. Dupont I found. The seller asks €250. This will probably be my first lighter.

It’s empty/unfilled, and the seller wants a quick sale, which makes me a little cautious. What should I ask for before buying: any specific photos or a video of the opening/closing and mechanism?

Is €250 fair for this condition and pattern if it works properly?

Hi, folks! I’m considering buying this vintage S.T. Dupont lighter and would really appreciate some advice before I pull the trigger.

The seller is asking €350, but I may be able to negotiate it down to €300.

Could you help me identify the exact model and approximate year from the photos/serial number? Is this definitely a Ligne 2 rather than a Gatsby or another model?

Also, how serious are the worn areas on the palladium/metal finish? Can they be professionally restored or replated without damaging the black Laque de Chine?

And finally: at €300–350, would you consider this a good buy, or would you keep looking for a better-condition example?
