[Turbografx16] green screen after recap
So I got a TG-16 in for repair that would only display a green screen when turned on. Before I even bothered looking into that I figured I would recap it first, they were surely all bad at this point if it was never done previously. Of course when I opened it up a few of the caps leaked everywhere with corrosion all over the board.
I was able to clean it up with only 2 pins on one of the IC's coming off during cleaning. After a bit of grinding I was able to expose a spot to solder new legs and I think the repair came out looking pretty good.
Once I put it back together to test I still had green screen. The owner tested it with 2 different games neither of them worked so I am thinking a bad connection in the hue card slot as I have read that a green screen is a sign that the system cant read the game properly.
If anyone here familiar with these things? I am wondering if there is anything else I could check out besides the card slot?
Thanks
