(This is my last post bothering you guys, I promise lol) I recently asked you guys for some recs on groove metal, and I really like a lot of what I’ve heard. I’ve definitely added a fair amount of them to my playlists. But I haven’t really heard a lot of songs like this one (Black Bear by Whitechapel). In my
opinion, it’s one of the most perfect metal songs I’ve ever heard. Lots of swing, lots of groove, VERY heavy, and some deep, roaring vocals (not to mention THAT RIFF it’s so good dude). I’ve always wanted to hear more like it, but I’ve checked out some more Whitechapel and it doesn’t seem like they do a lot of that (from a cursory glance, anyway). Anyone got some song/artists that do that tick most or all those boxes? I’ve especially liked what I’ve heard Orbit Culture so far. Thanks a lot guys! You’ve been a huge help, it’s much appreciated

Hello guys! I’ve had a used Gibson SG faded for about 8-9 years now, and I quickly fell in love with it. I also bought a Gretsch solid body in 2020, which I liked but never really gave the time of day until recently. But when I did, god DAMN did it play well, it was like playing something that knew EXACTLY what I wanted. Since then, I’ve started to notice that the SG just doesn’t stack up. I’m not necessarily interested in making SG play LIKE the Gretsch, but more so interested in the SG easier to play in its own special way. It’s WAYYY too sentimental to me, so getting rid of it isn’t an option. I’ve been reading some forums and I’m thinking getting a fret job will help? Also thinking of replacing the bridge. Hello again! I recently came on here and asked for metal recs of stuff that “swings”. A fair amount of people pointed me towards groove metal, and so far I’ve liked a lot of it.
