Believe me when I say things will never be worse than the time Spalletti sent out Bastoni as a RCB in the ‘24 euros against Croatia, a game that was lose and go home.

Most likely formation and lineup if conte is the guy.

Conte loves playing “his” guys or favorites, vergara speaks for itself. Conte wanted leoni badly at Napoli but they got priced out. That’s why I think Leoni will be the RB. Would be better at CB but need calafiori and bastoni together (just not logical to say bastoni won’t play).

Everything else largely the same though I wouldn’t be surprised if conte really plays favorites and starts politano over palestra.

My dream team for March 2027, the start of euro qualifiers.

My approach is a staunch wall at LCB/RCB. Commuzo showed he is a textbook Italian defender. Not looking to push forward with the ball, he’s there to defend and be a headache in the middle. Leoni has showed he is the same type of defender.

LB/RB are guys who can dribble the ball with pace up the pitch, and their conditioning in the prem league is perfect to feed our wingers.

Tonali and barella still anchoring the midfield, don’t trust ndour yet. Talent is there.

Koleosho is not a gifted finisher, but his pace and motor are unquestionable. He will take the ball upfield and feed the middle, where we have two strong finishers in Kean and Pio.

Chiesa is our best RW, and his latest comments about the national team have me feeling better about his return (he confirmed injuries were the reason he pulled out of the WC qualifiers). He wants to return to the serie and play for Italy.

I get it if you want to be bitter and ban him from the team. Not gonna do us any good though if we move to a winger system; he is the best RW in Italy right now until proven otherwise and needs to play. Plus, Mancini loves him. Chiesa loves mancini. It will work.

Thoughts? I think kean and pio are too talented to not both play; and we cannot play a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2. Need the wingers to push the pace.

Camus is quick to list all things that are considered “evasion” or denial of the absurd (belief systems, secular structures etc.) What about someone who just accepts the absurd and doesnt look for any meaning in life?

FIFA conference is set for tomorrow.

Iranian officials landed in Canada, said they were subjected to ridiculously screening, discrimination, etc. They immediately turned around and went back home.

A fifa conference will now occur *without* Iran. Significant development as the situation between fifa and Iran appears to be reaching untenable territory.

Should Iran pullout or fifa decide that Iran cannot participate, the door opens for their replacement. Whether that be Italy or someone else, who knows.

Don’t care about the score lines, invest in the future and let these guys play. Inácio might be a little young but he and koleosho are promising talents that can play on the outside.

More importantly, that defense is something worth fearing. They all have that old school style of physical defense, not built on finesse.

His play this year has been astounding, the Milan game and yesterday’s performance especially.

He, to me, should be Donnarumma’s eventual replacement. He should play behind Donnarumma against Greece and Luxembourg, and be mentored by Donnarumma.

If he’s not, it’s just the same shit over and over again of ignoring young Italian talent.
