Dr note
Is it illegal that dr notes have no effect at my workplace regarding attendance? People get fired all the time for missing work due to illness or hospital visits, and HR says doctors notes do not change the points you get when you miss work. We have a policy of 8 points and you’re fired. missing a shift is 1 point, leaving early, clocking out for lunch late is .5 point. Takes a year for each point to disappear. Only saved if you can quality for FMLA. otherwise, a dr note does nothing for you.
