Discharge assistance

Hi humans. My son (19) completed Kapooka last week however, rather than being stationed has been informed he is receiving a md discharge. Unfortunately, we know this puts an end to a military career and he is pretty bummed. I don't know what happened to bring this on and he isn't ready to share, that's okay.

He is in the process, or so he tells me, of getting a White Card and a discharge letter so he can access services when he comes home. Although I am not sure he fully understands the necessity of getting them so I don't know if he really will organise them.

Can anyone shed some light on how the process works, please?

Will the Army transport him home by way of a bus or train ticket and a bus ride to the Wagga station? Or, will I have to collect him from base? He has told me he doesn't know yet and hasn't been given an exact date but its looking like next week some time. I however, have a full time job and dependants at home, so need forward planning to organise time off and care ect.

Thanks for any input!

Perplexed with causes and can't get a straight answer

Recently diagnosed but I am wondering if anyone knows, are we 'born with' lupus, or can a traumatic life event cause it, like it does for some people with PTSD?

I am sure that I was fine, healthy, no symptoms, fit, strong...fine, then in 22 I endured something life altering and my body just kept on breaking down from there. It started with coeliacs, then extreme coming and going of joint pain, fatigue, then the heart condition SVT, until the recent diagnosis of lupus which the specialist tells me it is all connected and likely due to the lupus.

How was nothing wrong with me until that event if I always had lupus prior?

May monthly credit vanished?

So I have a book on my wish list I have been waiting to get with my monthly credit. Last week it said next available credit 10th May.

Yesterday, on the 10th of May that credit vanished entirely and it now states next available credit 10th June.

Usually this happens if your account payment doesn't go through but there is *nothing* anywhere to indicate this is what has happened. They've just pulled this month's credit entirely. Why, and how can I get it back?
