Statement From Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani on the Third Anniversary of October 7

Statement From Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani on the Third Anniversary of October 7

I only heard about this because people in one of my group chats started to criticize it. My only issue is that it would've been good to see a mention of how the hostages were used by the Israeli government as justification, then forgotten/ignored as soon as it became obvious what the government's true motives were (basically ASAP, as we all know here). Mamdani is usually good about including people at the margins, but that was a miss. Otherwise I don't see a problem with it. And even with my criticism, this is often what happens when an act of terror is met with disproportionate force; the world remembers Hiroshima and Nagasaki, not Pearl Harbor. This is no different.

Why's this screw on the side of my apartment, a converted rowhome?

I just noticed this when I was walking home yesterday and since I moved up here from Texas, I'm not really familiar with rowhomes. Any insight is appreciated!
