Do you think they keep writing and rewriting how the Dark Aether works? The Construct, seemingly SUPER DUPER important has been MIA since Vanguard.

It just feels like Treyarch didn't really know what to do with the Dark Aether properly until BO7. I enjoy the angle of it being molded out of memories and stuff like that, but it's interesting to see how it supposedly went from just "our world but evil and purple" to "Huge Dimension that actually has a bunch of Gods and actually there's this big ass rock that is the God of the Gods, which was red for whatever reason" to "actually it's a billion different spaces that are created from our memories."

I also really dislike how VG's plot points were mostly forgotten, they could've been expanded properly like Krafft and his relationship with Eddie, which led to the overall story, but everything else is just... nowhere to be seen. Making traditional japanese folklore stuff real in Takeo's world was cool but I wish the Path of Sorrows had something to do with Saraxis, considering the implication the she was one of the first DA entities to make contact with humans in ancient Japan which would fit Takeo's original timeline perfectly. But with Richtofen's alt Von List, it kinda diminishes Kortifex and the other DA deities because it implies there are other timeline versions of them.

Am I crazy for thinking they just mostly write this stuff on the fly??
