I would like to start a career as an inside wireman, the local closest to me from what I understand only takes apprentices with experience, even despite me being a member of the local already for just about 5 years (under a labor contract at a factory).

Currently I work nights/days/weekends/holidays, it’s a rotating swing schedule 12 hour shifts. It’s an IBEW job, but not an electrician job. With all the OT I made just over $100k this past year, but I’ve been dancing with the idea of quitting and going to a non union electrical company. Am I insane? Local 3 is also relatively close to me and moving closer to NYC sounds more inline with my life currently

Looking at getting a new daily driver and came across a 21 X5 40i, 59,900 miles for $30,995 at a local dealer. Has the only features I really look for in a car for, heated seats and remote start since of my driving is on the thruway to and from work (70 miles round trip).

Is $30,995 fair for the mileage? Is the dealer trying to hide something?
