PH pageants & their franchises
If it was up to you, would you rather mas focused and strategic yung franchises that each of our major PH pageants own? Or would you be happy with ‘more the merrier kahit random/unknown pageants’ like the recent The Miss Philippines crowns or with MWPH?
For me:
MUPH - I think mas masaya talaga during the BBP days pero it is what it is and Empire seems to be the franchise owner for now. That said, aside from Universe, I would have:
Supranational
Cosmo
Global (the one acquired by TPN last year, mukhang promising)
This would be the pageant for the Universe-caliber girls and even if they don’t get the ultimate crown, they can land in glossy pageants that also appreciate the Universe prototype
MWPH - I hope Cory Quirino takes over again! She knows the kiliti of Julia and nung time nya ang golden era natin sa MW. Aside from World I’d put:
Intercontinental - another old/legacy pageant and we’ve had a good streak the past few years
Charm - usually crowns striking girls (some say titahin lol)
This pageant could be for the face card girls, pero iba ibang prototype.
BBP - International is their forte with Stella being an ex-winner. Aside from that:
Reina Hispanomericana - latina connection
Globe - they seem to have a good relationship w/BBP
Earth - mainly for the environmental advocacies and mga brainy queens. I don’t know if its a conflict of interest, but why not put Eco International under them too?
Grand International - should be a standalone pageant kasi may sariling mundo lol
Other minor pageants which we can’t even identify should not be included, it dilutes the branding ng main pageant. Unless there’s a financial angle as to why they keep adding these unknown pageants? Kayo what do you think?
