Anyone here took TESDA Caregiving NC II before moving to the US?
Hi everyone!
My fiancé is an active-duty U.S. Marine, and we’re planning to move to the US through the CR-1 visa process.
I’m thinking of taking TESDA Caregiving NC II while I’m still here in the Philippines since I’ll most likely need to study again in the US to become a CNA anyway. I figured it would be a good way to build a foundation and gain some basic caregiving knowledge before I move.
For those who have taken this path:
- Did TESDA Caregiving NC II help you when you moved to the US?
- Did you still have to complete CNA training after arriving?
- Any TESDA-accredited schools in Metro Manila that you would recommend?
- I’ve also been applying for a TESDA scholarship through the BRS portal but keep getting denied. Has anyone experienced this, and what did you do?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thank you!
