Albany Police Investigating Motor Vehicle Crash involving juveniles on Western Avenue.

On Sunday, May 10, 2026 around 6:25 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Western Avenue for reports of a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officers located several injured juveniles who were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Further investigation determined that the 13-year-old driver was driving recklessly eastbound on Western Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle causing it to roll multiple times before coming to rest. During the crash, a 14-year-old female who was seated in the back seat was ejected and thrown several feet into the air before striking the ground.

There were six juveniles inside the vehicle, ranging in age from thirteen to fifteen. All six were treated on scene by the Albany Fire Department and Emergency Medical Personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital.

The 14-year-old female suffered significant injuries but is listed in stable condition. The five other juveniles were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Unfortunately nothing can go on the grass so it’s all confined to this space. The blue double rocker is in the way but I don’t want to get rid of it lol. I was thinking of pulling the storage box that holds the cushions next to the grill to use as a table to set things on while cooking, but idk where to put everything else if I do. It’s a 15x18 space so there’s a good amount of room, I’m just stuck on the best way to utilize it. I will be getting rid of the small planters and want to have just two taller narrow pots of flowers at either end. I was planning on growing flowers in the brown planter so I would prefer to keep that in the mix. If there’s a better subreddit for me to ask this in, please let me know. Thank you!
