If I use him then I'll get a +1 ovr and I play vsa so that'll be helpful, but I'm unsure because of his play style, would you recommend him for h2h?

I have 40k shards, will go for the CM and then prolly kvara next week, so I need to have shards after getting the CM, can you guys please suggest me which one will be better. If schweinsteiger was a bit cheaper I would've gone for him without a second thought but he's 28k whereas pirlo is just 20k, that's why I'm thinking how much worth it is the 8k shard difference.
I'm thinking about getting him and using him as an LW, is he good in his alt position? If not then I might use him in his usual position.

So I was doing good until the world's game event dropped. Until TOTS I was easily going up to 20 stars (I'm just an okayish or average h2h player) but after that (and even after today's update) I am going downhill, either loosing or drawing games, or even if I win a game then facing back to back loses and it's been like this for the last 4-5 days. I'm trying to adapt to the new gameplay but I am facing difficulties even after today's update.
The main issue is my defence is being scattered in pieces when the opponent makes offensive runs. CBs always overcommitting and fullbacks seem to be out of position most of the time, a single driven pass is making my defence to open so much wide space that can not be covered no matter how much I try and I've tried to change the system into defensive from balanced but it's still the same. When I go for attacks both of my Centre mids (I use a 4-1-2-1-2 wide formation with vitinha and Modric as CAM and CDM with wingers as wide midfielders) go too and leave the field open for counters, players don't track back while opponent's counters (not even the CDM as it should), I used to play through passing football but now it straight ends up into opponents direction or the force is always more or less than what is needed so my player doesn't get the ball. I'm facing too many problems and can't keep up with the current gameplay, please advise me what I can do to make my gameplay better. Thank you..

The state of division rivals, is just abysmal!! I went up to fc champion in h2h in the first day and then 10 stars in the next day but after that it's been a disaster,
The Gk can't save a single shot, every shot on target is a goal for the opponent.
They said that they'll make the first touches and deflection problem better, that loose ball won't end up into the opponents feet, but nothing has changed infact everything has been much worse than before. Now when you make a low driven pass with a bit of force it'll bounce from your feet to the opponent.
If you try to play passing football your through passes will end up going nowhere, the script deliberately takes the ball out of the field or out of your reach.
If you try to give a through pass via flanks your player will be running like a snail, no matter how much you try you will not be able to get to the ball, and I'm talking about the elite pacy wingers.
And if we look about VSA, the damage that has been done is can not be repaired, it's literally impossible for a 123 ovr team to get past 20 star!! They have made vsa mode only for p2w players!!
I don't know what they're doing and why they are doing it, but atleast make the h2h playable, at this point EA is just ragebaiting us!!

I don't think that it'll be as good as we're anticipating it to be. Yh there will be players with play styles and they'll cost less and we'll have 8 weeks of time so there are chances of getting much better players in the upcoming weeks, but still, I think they won't match the level of UTOTS players. The event summary looked quite underwhelming. We'll be having another week of UTOTS so try to get them as many as possible.
