Joining TISS Mumbai LL.M. from 28 July – Need accommodation advice & general tips!
Hi everyone!
I'll be joining the LL.M. programme at TISS Mumbai from 28 July and I'll be moving to Mumbai from Rajasthan. Since I'm new to both TISS and Mumbai, I'd really appreciate some guidance from current students or alumni.
A few questions:
1 What are the best areas to stay near TISS? (Chembur, Deonar, Govandi, Tilak Nagar, etc.)
2 My budget is around ₹8,000–12,000/month. Is it realistic to find a decent PG or shared flat in that range?
3 Any trustworthy brokers, WhatsApp groups, Facebook groups, or websites you'd recommend?
4 How much should I expect to spend monthly on rent, food, and local transport?
5 Any tips for someone who's completely new to Mumbai?
6 Is there anything I should complete before classes begin?
7 Any advice specifically for LL.M. students regarding coursework, professors, internships, research opportunities, or campus life?
I'd also love to connect with fellow batchmates if anyone here is joining this year.
