Shot with Sony A6700 + Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8. The butterfly's face/eyes came out sharp but the wings and body fell out of focus — I think it's a depth of field issue at close range. Looking for tips on:

Aperture/distance tradeoffs for insect shots

Manual focus techniques (peaking, magnification) for skittish subjects

Any composition tricks to keep more of the subject in focus without losing background separation

Appreciate any feedback!
