Just finished this wood carving of one of my fav characters Halfdan!

To continue the theme of the Norse gods, we’ve got a more realistic Thor!

6”x2”x2”, basswood, mahogany stain, then dark walnut, then true black, burnished and buffed and sealed in

Howard’s feed and wax.

Stain is black walnut danish oil, then true black strain over top to give it the weathered look and distressed and buff to show a lot more of the black walnut underneath.

Hand carved lamps I made over the last few weeks. The mushroom lamp is butternut wood, carved with a knife and hand gouges. The wizard is basswood, carved with the same tools.
