Is Until Dawn worth the 30 on sale?

Recently picked up the quarry for 6 dollars on steam and had a great time with it. Maybe its because I only lost jacob on my run so i dont feel compelled enough to retry on a "save everyone" run, but it's not a game I see myself replaying. I'd rather play a new story than replay one and until dawn seems like the game that interests me the most but the 30 dollar price tag is making me hesitate. Is it worth the 30, even if i just play it once? How much value from this game comes from replayability?

On a similar note, the devil in me seems like my second choice to get for a game because the "murder hotel" setting looks so cool but a lot of reviews say its a stinker compared to the rest. is it worth 15, should I just go all in on until dawn, or should i get neither?

Biggest pet peeve on ball?

Ball is a tank that has some situations that are frustrating and unavoidable. I wanna start a discussion or maybe give a place for other hamsters to vent about the part of playing ball that annoys them the most.

For me, nothing annoys me more than not getting kill credit for environmentals. every now and then game will just mark enemy deaths as a self kill when YOU CLEARLY caused that. boop kills are so satisfying and to get robbed of that is just the worst.

HM goes to being unfarily blamed for everything but thats kind of a universal tank experience

A lot of heroes winrate stats misrepresent how good they are. Here's why that is, and how you can use WR stats in a useful way. (Discussion/Guide)

BASED ON 5v5 PC NORTH AMERICA STATS

**pls read the post fully before commenting a lot of the things people are say are things i mention in the post😓**

I noticed lot of heroes have win rates that don't match their place in their meta, and it sent me down a rabbit hole. It led me to gathering the ones that (in my opinion) had a wr that misrepresented their strength and place, and sorting them out in these charts

**Some observations I made:**

Despite being one of the weakest tanks in the game, Reinhardt is the hero with the best stats. Highest WR of any hero in all tiers but GM+(5th), Highest PR for a tank in all but GM+(3rd), And an average ban rate of 2% tier wide.

Conversely, Dvas stats are pretty trash. With a decently low PR and a WR that's consistently in bottom 3 tanks, you'd be led to think she's not very strong if not for her being the most banned hero in GM+

The top dps meta mainstays of cass, sojurn, and tracer have some of the lowest winrates in every rank division, despite being the highest picked dps heroes in gm+

With the exception of kiriko and moira, support is the most consistent role with most heros having a wr% matching their strength.

Why is it like this?

A couple different reasons

A lot of meta heroes have a really low winrate because they are forced into/against team comps that don't really fit them just because they're meta and strong rather than the best choice for the situation. Heroes like cass or sojurn are almost never seen as bad picks, so it's not often that players will swap off when they're losing. This is compounded by the fact that they're often the heroes that people swap onto when they're in a losing situation and their hero isnt working. Think about how many times you've seen an opponent swap off to cass to counter and still lose.

For lower tier heroes, their winrate might be higher because they have a small dedicated playerbase who play that hero better than most (ball), they are noobstompers and struggle more in high elo (doomfist, genji), or have a niche usage case and perform poorly outside of that one use (symmetra)

Most importantly, comp and pro play are very different, and heroes that are meta in pro play may perform worse in a comp environment where there is less coordination.

Rein puzzles me a lot because his WR and PR is crazy for how relatively bad he is. The only guess i could make is that he's the easiest tank for the rest of your team to work with but honestly idk man.

Does this mean hero WR% is pointless?

On its own? yeah pretty much, its a messy stat that doesnt tell you much.

however, by pairing it with pickrate and ban rate it can teach you good info, and here's how

Heros can be sorted into 4 groups, each with different characteristics
High WR High PR
Low WR Low PR
High WR Low PR
Low WR High PR

a hero with both low PR and WR is pretty telling that a hero is just bad all around and needs help. They don't have a niche they can fill and if they do someone does what they do better.

JQ in GM+. This might be a bad example though, its hard to justify a 41.2% WR

It also works vice versa. High PR and WR heroes are typically strong

Sigma In GM+. a solid strong hero and the highest picked tank in the division

Heroes with a high win rate but low pick rate are usually much more situational and thrive in a certain environment. they can fill a niche but outside of that they don't see much use

Symmetra famously falls into this category, as her tp makes her extremely valuable in certain comps/maps and otherwise she NEVER sees play

Torb in All Tiers. Typically he's just okay, but his turret is very useful against dive or flying heroes

For heroes that have a low winrate but high pickrate, check their ban rate in GM+. If they have a high ban rate, it usually means they're still a strong threat that many swap to. Conversely if their ban rate is also low they're weak but still popular.

This is more accurate in high ranks like GM+, because lower ranks usually just ban heroes that are annoying vs strong.

D.va in GM+. Despite her low winrate and pickrate, she has the highest ban rate for any hero bc she's strong

Doomfist in GM+. One of the highest picked tanks with a low winrate, rarely banned bc he is weak

Mercy in GM+ Another example of a popular hero that isn't very strong.

So yeah that's about what I've gathered from looking into this. Idk if other people have discussed this before but seeing the big 3 dps have bad WRs sent me down this rabbit hole and this is what i gathered from it. Do you agree with how I interpret WR, or do you think its bogus? If so, how can it be used better (if at all)?

I miss The Hoonicorn

Fh6 is great, but the loss of the hoonigan liscense SUCKS. Hoonicorn was by far my favorite car in 4 and 5 and there are some seriously good spots for photos but it just.. doesn't matter as much without it. One of the onlt cars I custom made a livery for and being able to update it with window stickers wouldve been so amazing.
