Short Barrels for an M1 Super 90?

I inherited a pre-ban M1 super 90 with HK markings. I love it. but since the NFA is going away I’d like to shorten the barrel. But the is ZERO chance id chop the original barrel.

Did Benelli make short barrels (maybe LE or Mil) for the M1? I’ve seen an M2 short barrel will work but requires some retrofitting. before I go through all that work I thought I’d check with the the community first.

Any love for the USC?

I don't know if this post violates the rules, so let me know if I'm touching a taboo.

I inherited a USC in .45, and I love it. I'd love it more with an FRT and a folding stock, so I bought a kit from GDI-3D that adds both. I'm wondering if anyone has purchased from them or had expereince adding an FRT to this platform. Thanks!

Gunsmith Recommends

I bought parts to make my panic buy collection (fully) semi-automatic. The installation is a bit out of my mechanical capabilities.

Anyone know a gunsmith in NOVA thats reliable and works quickly?

The Problem with Robinson Armament Co.

This is mostly a rant, but maybe it will save someone else the heartburn I am currently suffering.

I live in a state that decided to take away our rights to "assault weapons" starting July 1st. So, I purchased one of my grail guns, and XCR-M in .308, and said, "What the hell, since the $200 tax stamp is gone, let's SBR it." The rifle I bought is pretty much bone stock, and Robinson's order confirmation email said most orders take 1.5 months. I should have had time to get my gun, finish the ATF Form 4, and be posting on here about my new toy by Memorial Day.

Wrong. Robinson emailed me today letting me know the barrel is only just back from the chrome vendor, and they've been waiting three weeks to get the receiver from THAT vendor.

This is the problem with Robinson. They have a fantastic but niche gun, and their survival balances on a series of vendors. Since the SCAR trials in 2004, where they notoriously fumbled the bag on a blank-fire adapter, they've been unable or unwilling to bring production in-house. If one vendor takes a break the whole production line is cooked.

Now I'm sitting here with my jimmies rustled, wondering if I can take possession before the deadline, and if I don't, I'll cry and curse the heavens.

TL;DR A lot of other gun manufactures and sellers have prioritized orders to VA residents, but Robinson appears to be unwilling or unable to get orders out in time.

This is more for the Mods, but can we please get a mega threat or a wiki for all the questions about the impending law changes?

Am I the only one they would rather have that conversation corralled?

This sub is flooded with the same questions over and over. I understand, everyone’s stressed and feels under the gun to hord mags and lowers.
