OpenRun Pro Headphones Power Button

Hi there!

My OpenRun Pro Headphones power button recently stopped working- it sticks & will no longer register me holding it down to turn on. They're just outside of the warranty window and customer service is unable to help me due to this, but the power button ceasing to work seems like a common issue, even on the newer Pro 2s.

Is there any chance you'd be able to assist, or is there a workaround to get them to turn on again?

I love my Shokz so much and am currently training for a marathon.

I appreciate your help!

Alternatives to Shokz OpenRun Pro Headphones?

When these headphones worked they were the best, but as many others have experienced, my power button no longer works. They started having issues right before the 2-year warranty ended, and they stopped turning on/off completely right after the warranty ended.

I reached out to Shokz and they said there's nothing they can do as it's outside of the warranty, despite this being a common product failure. From what I've read, the power button seems to fail even sooner on the newer OpenRun Pro 2.

Does anyone have any recommendations for more reliable open ear headphones? I personally can't justify spending nearly $200 every year and a half or two on headphones that are just going to stop working.

Thanks!

Edit: Thank you all for the suggestions!

I did want to share a temporary fix to the OpenRun Pro button: underneath the button is a little silver plate that the button hits to turn the headphones on/off, and when the button stops compressing it can't hit the plate. You can peel the button aside to get to the silver plate, and I've been using a bobby-pin to press it to get the headphones on. You can do that to turn them off, or they'll turn off if you plug them into the charger.

So that's what I'm doing for now until I decide which other headphones to switch to- thank you again for the suggestions!

My long established prescriptions are out of refills, and I'm required to go to the doctor to get more refills. During my annual preventive visit I ask my doctor if we can refill my prescription, maybe increase the dose, the doctor goes sure. Because I asked this, the clinic bills for a nonpreventative office visit, costing me $109 out of pocket after insurance pays $220 of the $329 total cost for a 30 second conversation.

Additionally, I did receive a preventive service during my annual visit, but my insurance is saying they don't consider the specific code my clinic used to code the service as preventive, so that's another $50 I owe.

One more for you: I went for a dental cleaning, and got a bill for $80. All I did was my preventive, 6 month cleaning. My job switched insurances recently to a "state regulated- fully insured" plan. Sounds good, right? What this means is even if your dentist is in network, your plan will only pay up to the state negotiated rate for the service (which is very low), and you get a bill for the rest, even for in-network, preventive care. I didn't know this was a thing. I had called my insurance prior to my appointment and confirmed my clinic was in-network, and I also confirmed this with my clinic. My bad for not knowing this I guess.

I'm just trying to get very basic, preventive care. I can't even imagine the hell folks with serious medical conditions go through. It's exhausting, cruel, and incredibly inhumane. It's the American nightmare.

Edited for clarity
