[BingePile] TV Time replacement got a huge upgrade

Messages - you can DM anyone on BingePile now. Inbox is in the Feed tab, or hit Message on any profile. Photos work.

Find your people - On the discover tab you will see suggested people to follow based on similar interests in shows and movies.

Piles - your lists are Piles now, and they're ranked. Top three get a gold/silver/bronze podium. Share one as a link, or browse the community's most-loved Piles in Discover.

The Binge Wheel - tap the dice on Home and spin it. Pulls from your Watchlist, from any Pile, or Surprise Me for something trending.

Comments from TV Time - years of preserved community reactions and ratings, on your episodes and movies. It's a separate tab, it's read-only, and the authors are archive pseudonyms, it never mixes into BingePile comments.

Translate any comment - one tap. Set your language once in Settings and forget about it.

Your Monthly Rewind - a shareable recap of everything you watched, waiting on your Profile.

What's next?

- Profile page redesign, it looks decent currently but I think it can look better. There will be option to set "cover" image, maybe short bio etc

- More focus on movies, currently the home page is heavily focused on tv shows and movies are buried deep inside your profile page

- More import options, we currently only support importing from TV Time. If you do want to import from other app feel free to contact me and i'll do it for you. I plan to expand automatic import support.

- Rethinking widgets, we have them right now but I think they are pretty basic

- Last but not least, premium. Premium will not lock any existing features I have a completely bonkers new feature planned which will be only for premium users.

Any TV show addicts here?

...you probably heard of TV Time shutting down then.

Since this announcement 100+ new similar apps started to appear.

I tried some however my needs were never entirely full-filled.

Some of the existing apps were barely working due to sudden influx of users. Some new apps were missing features I needed, some were exact replicas of TV Time which while I liked it I decided its time to get something which looked a bit more "fancy".

So as an app developer I decided to start this enjoyable but extremely non-profitable journey and just create my own app.

I would appreciate very much if someone is willing to give it a chance.

App is completely free and what is available right now feature-wise will be free *forever.

I do have some monetization ideas but I definitely do not plan plan on locking the currently available free features.

Thanks for paying attention and last but not least here are my stats.

Making the content to market my app was harder than building it. So I built Hookstr.

Like most devs here, I can ship an app but I'm useless at the marketing side, the daily TikToks/Reels that actually drive installs now. Hiring UGC creators runs $50 to $150 a video, and I'm not about to film myself.

So I built Hookstr. You paste your App Store / Google Play / website link (or just describe the app in a sentence), and it generates ready-to-post vertical content:

  • AI UGC videos: an AI creator talking to camera, with voiceover, b-roll and burned-in captions
  • Reaction-style clips and slide carousels (the value-first, then soft-pitch format)
  • Everything 9:16, hook-first, no editing

It pulls your app's name, screenshots and copy automatically, so the content is actually about your app, not generic filler. Don't like a take? Regenerate for a new hook, new creator, new angle.

It's live and I'd genuinely love feedback, especially "this hook is mid" or "the voice sounds off." There's a free trial (80 credits, no card) so you can run your own app through it.

Link in the comments. What would make you actually post AI-made content vs. film it yourself?

Torn between app being simple or just useless

Hey guys looking for feedback on my app.

It is days since type of app meant to showcase your journey of leaving bad habits behind or starting new chapters in your life.

It is not meant to be for simple things like “watered plants” but each to their own.

I really wanted to keep it “cozy and simple” but I am left with the feeling that something is missing and that it should be doing something more..

So looking for any useful feedback.
