Asking here and r/LosAngeles because I'm sure this varies based on local laws. For reference I'm in City of LA.
My apartment came with a huge through-the-wall AC unit. Based on its serial number, this unit is nearly 40 years old. I run the through-the-wall unit, my own portable AC unit, and multiple fans literally 24/7 in the summer. Despite that, my living room reaches nearly 95 degrees every day and only gets down to mid-80s at night.
Is my landlord responsible for replacing/repairing the AC unit? Or since it never worked particularly well over the time I've lived here, is that just considered normal for the apartment and therefore not their responsibility?
Hi everyone! Hopefully I have the right sub/flair.
I recently saw this article about how Houston freeways seemed to create clouds of their own this week. I’m a graphic design student currently working on a book about how freeways have affected many aspects of American life, and I think this imagery would be PERFECT for part of my book. Does anyone know if I can find these satellite images (ideally without the city/road overlays) somewhere online? Copyright shouldn’t be an issue since it’s for educational use.
Thanks in advance! :)
