Secured two interviews within two weeks

2 companies out of 19 I’ve applied to within the last two weeks have reached out. I’ve already had two interviews with one company. I’m in the process of scheduling my screening call with a second company. You guys are breaking the mold and I’m so grateful. I’m hoping that this results in a job opportunity.

I’ve been intentionally applying, using my filters that are narrowing down by jobs posted within the last few days. These companies aren’t advertising on LinkedIn which is another benefit.

Keep your fingers crossed for me. I’ve been unemployed for over a year now.

Finally passed my Platform Admin Cert. Here’s what I did

So I took it three times, missed by a question each time. I needed something to help push me over the edge this time around.

Previous methods used were trailhead and FoF. I drilled those practice exam questions so many times but I was still missing fundamental knowledge. Trailhead is very click and do, and I can’t learn that way. I need to understand the why behind it. FoF was still missing that for me.

This time, I plugged in a few prompts into Chat: essentially asking for the breakdown of each of the 8 sections, topics known to be on the exam, and real case scenarios. I asked it to get as detailed as possible for each section. I then plugged the response for each topic in Notebook LLM and had it create a 25 min podcast, 8 minute explainer, infographic and PowerPoints, for each one. What I loved is that it did actually give me real like scenario problems and I encountered similar ones in the exam.

In addition to this, I also went through FoF practice questions for each topic, and the ones I felt rusty on, made flash cards for. (Got that advice on here.) I also added an additional source to my studying which ended up being the game changer. Cert++ is free and gave me a much more in depth dive into each of the topics. I wrote more flash cards based on what I missed.

From here, I drilled flash cards, listened to those podcasts, reviewed the PowerPoints, and read the infographics until I fully understood each concept, how each of the topics intertwined, and finally made sense of this massive ecosystem.

If you’re in the midst of the exam, don’t give up. The test has some super confusing situational questions. There are also five additional and ungraded questions. Some advice I got was to be able to eliminate answers and know why they aren’t the right answer. Also, go for the most SF type answer. Finally, if an answer is something like “use Apex” eliminate it. They’re testing admin skills, not coding skills.

Dm me if you have any questions! I’ll be happy to help someone else!

What happens to the opportunities when you delete the parent account?

My study notes are conflicting. I am under the impression that although this is a lookup relationship, it behaves like a master-detail and that all opportunities associated with the parent account will also be deleted. However, I am coming across a new study guide that is saying this: The Opportunity AccountId field is defined as a Lookup relationship in the object reference. Because Lookup relationships have no effect on deletion, the child Opportunity record is not deleted when the parent Account record is removed. Which is right? Appreciate any insight!

Reading A2/B1

I’m fairly comfortable reading A2/B1 level French. I’m understanding most of the words, rarely have to look things up, and can follow the stories well. I try to watch French, primarily the French real estate family show on Netflix, and more recently the kid cartoon Obilix(sp) and can only really catch every few words or so. I’ve been learning for years now and want some advice on improving my listening comprehension. When I read, I tend to read out loud and slowly, pronouncing the words. I just can’t get my brain to understand spoken French as well.

Admin Cert

I failed my cert twice. I've been using Focus on Force and lately working through some Superbadges but can't seem to break past the 80% range on FoF practice exams. These were my cert scores:

1st time 3/19/26

  • Configuration and Setup: 78%
  • Object Manager and Lightning App Builder: 67%
  • Sales and Marketing Applications: 67%
  • Service and Support Applications: 83%
  • Productivity and Collaboration: 50%
  • Data and Analytics Management: 60%
  • Automation: 78%
  • Agentforce AI: 40%

2nd time 3/28/26

  • Configuration and Setup: 89%
  • Object Manager and Lightning App Builder: 67%
  • Sales and Marketing Applications: 67%
  • Service and Support Applications: 50%
  • Productivity and Collaboration: 67%
  • Data and Analytics Management: 70%
  • Automation: 56%
  • Agentforce AI: 40%

I stayed the same across a few areas, made small improvements in others, and dropped in automation and service and support. These questions are so tricky to me. Any advice?
