Mods - can we please do something about the bad faith trolls here?

To be clear, I am not talking about people who come here in good faith to discuss and even criticize the SSPX. I have no issue with that and I think it is healthy to hear these criticisms.

But the sub is being raided by people who are just spamming every thread with ”lol you’re excommunicated chud! Submit to Rome!” They are clearly not discussing in good faith and are just here to stir the pot. This is seriously impacting the quality of the sub and I think banning them is justified.

Honestly, I'm struggling just to hold on to my faith in the Church

I've been Catholic for close to a decade. Started off NO, then went diocesan TLM, then FSSP, then moved and went to the SSPX. What really drew me into the Church was its deep intellectual history and how everything really made logical sense.

But these excommunications, and the harshness of the policy for the laity in particularly, has really felt like a slap in the face. Add to that the incessant gloating from so many opponents of the SSPX, which doesn't help.

I'm really struggling to see how the Church just hasn't defected. The religion that is being preached since V2 contradicts what came before V2 in so many ways. The new liturgy is boring, banal, and heavily Protestantized. You don't hear anything about sin or the need for confession. I've heard numerous times about how my sins weren't really sins. Man is at the center of this new religion instead of God.

Honestly, without a single shred of disrespect for the Pope or for his authority, I was just trying to hold to the Faith of all time by attending the SSPX. But now, I am suspect of schism and can possibly be excommunicated for this.

It's hard for me to see how the modernists haven't won. I don't see any way out of this. It feels like the barque has sunk.

This is a very dark time for me - please keep me in your prayers and I will pray for you all. I'm not sure if all of this is totally coherent, just wanted to get my thoughts out there to see if others felt the same.
