Post clipping update

I had my aneurysm clipped on Monday. Today I had the last of my lines unhooked and I'm feeling pretty good. On one hand I'm very overwhelmed at the thought of looking after the wound on my head (I have curly hair) and on the other, I'm feeling optimistic. The pain has been pretty bad but is subsiding, and to be honest, is a lot better than I thought it would be.

Girls - when could you brush your hair? Any tips? 😬

Although I feel tired and lazy, my mind still feels like my own. I've been taking it easy with screens and I seem to be fine!

I had a right posterior communicating artery (PCOM) aneurysm 2.5mm x 2mm.

Spirits alternatives

Hi all! Great to be here 🙂

I've been completely alcohol-free for a year and a half now. I definitely love it and I'm never going back. I love being aware at parties, saving money is great and I want to look after my body. Honestly it's the best decision I ever made!

When I used to drink I drank whisky, anything brown pretty much or other strong liqueurs like Fireball, sometimes sake, maybe a port here and there.

Now I drink a lot of tea... Matcha mostly. I can't have coffee as there's too much caffeine. Tea is great and all but I really do miss a strong, bitey sipping drink. With ice or without. I don't like fizzy drinks at all and I don't really want to drink, say, an alcohol-free wine or anything like that. Not a wine person.

Has anyone else had this issue and if you did, what are some alternatives that you turned to? I like flavours like cinnamon, spices, etc. I drink chai, but it's still a more "watered down"? Drink.
