My Macbook M4 shuts down

I bought a macbook M4 last July and recently it keeps shutting down randomly.

When I press on the power button, the restart button appears but the cursor doesn’t move.

After pressing on the power button a few times it goes back to the normal screen but it happens again.

I have taken it to Genius Bar and they’ve taken it in to take a look. I got it back today being told nothing seems wrong ( they ran load test and it passed) but when I tried to log back in (they factory reset it), the cursor wasn’t moving nor the keyboard was active.

I am frustrated because it hasn’t even been that long since I bought it and I’m actually starting to wonder if they can replace it with a new one.

Anyone knows the solution??

How much do I need in my bank account?

I’m an incoming masters student in NYC and I’m applying for my I-20 for F1.

-Tuition is 80k/ year but I’ve secured a scholarship that covers 63k.

-On top of that, the scholarship gives me a stipend of $1445/month for a year.

I’m going to submit the sponsorship form for the scholarship but for personal funds, how much should I have in my bank account?

Asking this because my parents/family member who are supporting me financially, their banks take couple weeks to produce the proof of balance.

Whereas my account takes shorter time and so we’re wondering if we should put money into my account but if so how much??
I haven’t secured a housing so idk my rent but it’ll probably be $2000-3000.

I’m an incoming masters student at Columbia and applied for graduate school housing but haven’t heard back.

Since I know graduate housing is competitive, I started looking into apartments on StreetEasy for me and my roommate (who works in corporate) to live in but it’s extremely difficult to get a hold of a broker.

  1. How do people actually sign? Is there anything i can do if I can’t tour the places (I live abroad)?
  2. Which areas are good for Columbia students to live in? Besides UWS, Morning Heights.
