Legend Status: I finally did it and ranked each sport by difficulty
Here is my breakdown of which sports were the hardest to get a pro ranking in starting with the most difficult:
- Chambara
- This sport cost me my sanity. I just couldn’t figure out the trick even as I tried different swords. I hope to never play it again and honestly derived no joy from a single second of it. - Golf
- Love switch golf but at this point, most of the online games are against S-tier level opponents and I often would get cut after 2 holes. And the game would drop my ranking even when I was against fierce competition. I will definitely keep playing this one though. - Soccer
- Games just last a long time and I was able to impact the game less as an individual. My teammates mattered a lot and so it really sometimes felt like a coin flip. I might play again? - Bowling
- Similar situation as golf, but easier to survive the early cuts once I achieved some consistency. I prefer Wii sports bowling but really like this one with friends and family. - Basketball
- I found this one easy to do the little stuff to secure wins (play diligent defense, pump fake to create open shots, and pass to teammates open for near layups). But man oh man, I wanted to lose it when I’d get stuck with a teammate that air balled from 3 over and over. - Badminton
- I love this one even if I think it would be impossible to try to improve my ranking. It really rewards strategy. - Tennis
- Wii Sports tennis was my favorite game growing up, but I might like this version even more. I found myself playing this sport a lot while avoiding my last pro ranking in chambara. - Volleyball
- I played this sport exclusively after buying the game and became very good at it. I’m S level and genuinely want to achieve infinity status. Sure it sucks when your teammate doesn’t block but it feels like a flow state when you’re in the groove.
