Do you think Switch Sports will go offline after Resort gets released?

Basically title. I have been getting back into this game in anticipation for SSR and I wanted to try to collect as many cosmetics as possible. I have many to go but I realized that there is a chance I may just not be able to get all of the cosmetics if they decide to take this game offline soon after resort. Do you think this will happen? Or do you think it will stay online since there is no way to play resort if you only have a switch 1?

Edit: Spelling

Legend Status: I finally did it and ranked each sport by difficulty

Here is my breakdown of which sports were the hardest to get a pro ranking in starting with the most difficult:

  1. Chambara
    - This sport cost me my sanity. I just couldn’t figure out the trick even as I tried different swords. I hope to never play it again and honestly derived no joy from a single second of it.
  2. Golf
    - Love switch golf but at this point, most of the online games are against S-tier level opponents and I often would get cut after 2 holes. And the game would drop my ranking even when I was against fierce competition. I will definitely keep playing this one though.
  3. Soccer
    - Games just last a long time and I was able to impact the game less as an individual. My teammates mattered a lot and so it really sometimes felt like a coin flip. I might play again?
  4. Bowling
    - Similar situation as golf, but easier to survive the early cuts once I achieved some consistency. I prefer Wii sports bowling but really like this one with friends and family.
  5. Basketball
    - I found this one easy to do the little stuff to secure wins (play diligent defense, pump fake to create open shots, and pass to teammates open for near layups). But man oh man, I wanted to lose it when I’d get stuck with a teammate that air balled from 3 over and over.
  6. Badminton
    - I love this one even if I think it would be impossible to try to improve my ranking. It really rewards strategy.
  7. Tennis
    - Wii Sports tennis was my favorite game growing up, but I might like this version even more. I found myself playing this sport a lot while avoiding my last pro ranking in chambara.
  8. Volleyball
    - I played this sport exclusively after buying the game and became very good at it. I’m S level and genuinely want to achieve infinity status. Sure it sucks when your teammate doesn’t block but it feels like a flow state when you’re in the groove.

Thoughts on Nintendo Switch Sports Resort?

I was actually a bit angry about this announced in the last Nintendo Direct. From the little I played from the first Nintendo Switch Sports, it's a game that fails to keep the same amount of charm that Wii Sports does. It feels like a lot of the games in this one are taken from Wii Sports Resort with new names. The first one felt incomplete at launch. Honestly, if they made a whole fully fledged game out of Bowling, I wonder how well that would do for Nintendo considering it's the sport that people really liked playing on Wii

People disconnecting?

I noticed after climbing to A rank in basketball that some people will disconnect right at the end of the match, then I don’t get the rank points or the cosmetic gift points. Is there any countermeasures to this? It’s getting old having people abuse this

What's up with my putting?

First of all, sorry for the quality, my loud AC, and the awkward cuts. I didn't want the video to drag out.

I got Switch Sports 3 months ago. Putting used to feel a little weird, but I learned to put with my hips more and got some decent control for a while. Later on, though, on random matches, all that control would disappear and the motion controls would respond in what seems to be a completely random manner. Hard hits would register as tiny taps and tiny taps would register as hard hits. Then, on later matches, the controls would feel normal again.

But now it has been like this the last 3 times I've booted up the game where it feels like I have almost zero control of what it does and I can't land a shot further than 20ft. I included the clips of me approaching the holes to show that my motion controls are working completely fine otherwise.

Any tips? Is it somehow my controller? This has hindered my desire to play.

I'm playing on Switch 2, if that makes any difference.

In the... Er, Tree!

Have you ever been so poor at golf that you've ended up getting your ball stuck on the branch of a tree? I didn't think my shot would ever end until I ran out of time. I had enough time to grab my phone and record a video. Fair play to the programmers.
