Volleyball

Okay I’m rank A 26 and I was wondering if it was normal to get teammates in your team that literally don’t block at all😭 Like I’m trying to rank up fast and I got to this rank under 24 hours it’s kinda like a challenge but I’m running into having to carry other players. How does one even get to A rank without blocking ever…

I feel like Nintendo could have easily made miis the main focus rather than sportsmates

Hear me out: While the 'Sportsmates' are cute enough, Nintendo completely missed the mark by prioritizing them over the very thing that made Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort cultural icons: the Miis. The original games weren't just about the sports; they were about the personal connection and the absurd, customizable charm of the Miis that made the experience memorable and timeless.

Nintendo Switch Sports is a fun ride, but it lacks that soul. By replacing the centerpiece of the franchise with modernized, forgettable characters, Nintendo left a massive amount of potential sales on the table. If you look at the success of Tomodachi Life, it’s clear that the Mii is a goldmine. That game thrived because it put the Miis front and center rather than relying on the same regurgitated formulas we see in every other title. If Nintendo had leaned into the nostalgia and versatility of Miis instead of the Sportsmates, the game wouldn't just be 'fun'—it would be a phenomenon.

Insane Shot

This video is seven months old but I finally learned how to upload videos from my Switch to Reddit.

Anyway, when this happened I felt like I used my entire life’s worth of luck in this single shot. Hope y’all also think this is cool!

Slight miss-hit turns in to a very lucky hole in one!

Only the second hole in one I’ve ever hit. Felt so good when it went in!

New PR, wild birdie run

Few days after my first -11, I went on a heater today and carded a -14 with 11 straight birdies in the middle! I missed a gimme for birdie on 18 that I’m really kicking myself over, but still I’m happy with my round.

i like sportsmates

if the next switch sports game really does come out this summer, or if switch sports gets a switch 2 edition, i honestly hope they don’t give up on the sportsmates. while i love miis, i think the sportsmates better fit the direction nintendo is bringing the sports series in, as they’re cartoony and fit the “light-hearted sports campus” aesthetic. though i do have some gripes, like i think they desperately need more customization options beyond just the unlockable ones, and if they’re going to stick to unlockable cosmetics, then i think that guest characters should at least be able to wear hairstyles and facial features that have been unlocked on the main profile. at the very least, if switch sports 2 returns to miis being the main playable characters, i hope they get an art style update like they did in tomodachi life.

oh also, sportsmates desperately deserve some memorable, strong npcs. i love that they brought back iconic miis with the legend mode update, but i kinda wish that instead of miis, they were sportsmate-recreations of those iconic wii sports characters instead. like imagine matt but as a sportsmate
