IGN: Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Appears To Solve All of Switch Sports’ Shortcomings

"I’m stunned at how excited I am for Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. I plan to 100% this game, which is not something I would have said two weeks ago. I’m still not entirely thrilled with the sports lineup – I would trade Table Tennis and Volleyball for things like Swordplay, Baseball, or Frisbee – but what is here is shaping up to be really fantastic. Don’t sleep on this one: I think it’s going to be an enormous improvement on Nintendo Switch Sports and a fantastic return to one of my favorite settings in Nintendo history."

Eurogamer: I spent an hour playing Switch Sports Resort

It all sounds great, except that there is reportedly a time limit in Free Play mode:

“It's here Switch Sports Resort flexes its open-world muscles, giving players a time limit in which to accrue the most points as they fly/skate/sail free.”

Edit: IGN reports that there will be an untimed mode of some sort too

"I’m told that there’s a free play mode for certain sports like Power Cruising where you can explore and chill for as long as you’d like with no timer; you just can’t unlock collectibles and achievements in that mode."

Minirig 4 making unpleasant bass noises all of a sudden

I bought a Minirig 4 a few months ago and loved it - until it started making this horrible noise I think when bass kicks in. Any idea how to fix it and maybe why is started in the first place? It goes away when I lower the volume, but where's the fun in that? Thanks.

Looking for floor lamp with 2 directable reading lights

Hello,

My old floor lamp bit the dust so I’m looking to upgrade with a new one for the master bedroom. Ideally it would have two smaller lights coming off the stem that I could direct at my bed for reading at night. Quality is more important than price. If you have any ideas please let me know. Thanks! In the US.

Any way to roll back a save?

I forgot when I finished my leaders quest it would kick me out of the map. I wanted to stay so I could move into a bigger base and screw around so I panic quit. When I load my community it asks me to go to a new map. I'm on Xbox Series X if that makes a difference. Is there any way at all to roll back before that final mission or am I donezo? Thanks in advance. (Also yes I know I'm an idiot and I ignored the warning text.)
