I bought more stuff on this trip but wanted to calculate how much the fruits and veg alone cost me. What do you think of the price? I know there are probably cheaper ways to get produce, this is just the only grocery store within a 10 min drive of my home so it’s the most convenient considering I can’t drive myself. I felt like it was a bit expensive for what will barely last a week with the amount of cooking I do!

I’d be curious to see the price difference with Superstore (next closest grocery store to me) for the same items but I find the produce at IGA is always fresher. If anyone has insight on which of the two is generally the cheapest, let me know :)

So as you can see I’m only 660 elo and I started playing like 3 months ago, so I’m not very sharp by any means. I was so proud of myself for figuring out that a bishop sacrifice would win me the opponent’s queen after a few moves if they cleared the g file for me (which most people at this level would fall for, probably including myself). What I didn’t realize is that I have an unstoppable (I think?) mate in 2 if after the discovered check I moved my queen to g3 instead of grabbing the black queen with my knight. They resigned anyway but it was a good learning opportunity for me to always look for mating opportunities first even if their queen is hanging and my plan was to take it. Perhaps I need to start playing longer matches, I always play 3 min blitz but if I played 10 min matches I would have more time to think and analyze the board before making my move. I know I had time to think here too but I was too greedy to take the queen lol and didn’t realize the game could end soon.

I sized down to an XS! I posted about these a week ago (last picture, size S) and how I felt the fit was too unflattering. I got so many comments, most people advising me to return (and some telling me they look like pajamas, lol). I exchanged them for a size down, they are a little tight around the hips but nothing unmanageable. I love the silhouette now, the legs are the perfect amount of wide.

That’s how I would actually wear them, with a flowy blouse since that’s all I wear. And my loafers or sandals, depending on the weather :) I like to cover up a bit more in the summer so I’m so happy to find flowy linen pieces for everyday wear.

These are the CruiseLinen Lodge Pants in colour Ecru and size Small Tall (I am 5’11, 140 lbs).

I received these today and obviously they’re supposed to be wide-legged but I’m surprised at how wide they are. I feel like they’re unflattering on me, and they make me look shorter. Thoughts??? I suppose I could exchange them by mail for a size down but I can’t fathom fitting into an XS since I’m a size 6 in Aritzia trousers. Plus this size S actually fits well around the waist, the silhouette just looks strange even though I usually go for wide-leg pants. Also I wouldn’t go for Regular length since they are always too short for me as I like pants to reach the top of my foot. I need honest opinions please!! (Edit: I would wear them with a button up shirt of some kind since that’s all I wear, not that cat t shirt lol that’s just what I already had on when I received the pants)

Or if you have a different pant recommendation? 🤔 My issue is needing Tall sizing so my options are limited. I just need a nice pant/trouser for the summer and I don’t like Crepette fabric so I wanted to try linen.
