I've been using a wahl peanut for a few years to line up my beard and moustache in between cuts but I now want a proper clipper to be able to fade my beard myself, and hopefully stop going to the barber for my beard completely.

I see a Wahl Black magic clip cordless + detailer li combo for around 400 cad (300 usd) all in and just wondering if that would be good value for the cost? I see that I can cut costs by getting a corded magic clip + corded detailer/outliner/etc for cheaper, or get something like a kemei 2293.

Just wondering how people feel about how much money should be put into the clipper vs the trimmer, tradeoffs between corded vs cordless, etc

I am a 24m Canadian planning my first ever solo trip as a graduation present to myself and was thinking of coming to Brazil for the world cup next summer. I am trying to get a sense of what my rough budget would look like, assuming Canada were to make the final game and I stay the whole month while catching all their games (plus a Brazil game of course).

• I was thinking around 1k brl per domestic flight, if that would be a good amount to set aside for the worse case scenerio of going from porto alegre to fortaleza (from what I can tell would be the most expensive flight between any two hosts?)
• About 250brl a day for food and drinks (not one to really eat at high end restaurants but wouldn't mind going a few days/week)
• 350 brl a day for accommodation (hotel/hostel, not sure yet)
• 4000 brl for the month for misc purchases (will mostly go chill at beaches/museums/cafes on non game days to save money, maybe souvenirs)
• 100 brl a day for transportation (should I account for taking uber or is public transportation doable?)
• and maybe 200 brl per ticket? (this is tbd and I don't expect anyone to know any concrete answers but I expect this to be the cheapest part of my trip)

Would appreciate any feedback, I overestimated some of these numbers to try to get a sense of the ceiling of what the cost would be. Thanks!

Anyone here currently planning their trip/have experience with travelling for a previous world cup? Trying to figure out the best way to secure tickets asap for a specific team's matches (Canada in this case), in order to book travel and etc ahead of time. I am assuming joining a supporters group that has an allocation of tickets would be my best bet?

My friend has a big collection that I am helping him with selling and listing, and we are both brand new to shipping and selling online, and just wondering up to what value would people still be comfortable with receiving a card in a PWE vs a bubble mailer? 5 CAD? 10 CAD? People will be able to request a bubble mailer but just trying to figure out the bare minimum shipping prices.

Also how many cards can you fit in a PWE (in canada if it matters)? From what I see online it seems like two would be an acceptable max (one toploader with two cards, each in a penny sleeve)?

New to cards, want a decent card of my fav player but want to stay under 250 usd. I’m thinking of either the silver prizm rookie auto or the prolific /99 auto? Any more suggestions?

Prior to the start of this season, I was excited for the goldeneyes but didn't know what to expect. Going to the home opener was an amazing experience and might be my favourite sports experience irl, and I ended up going to more games this season than I ever have for a whitecaps/canucks/etc season, mostly due to the atmosphere (especially the sing alongs). I am heavily considering buying season tickets now!!

I am wondering if there are any ultras groups (non-violent, not that I think this fanbase would be a problem) that I could join, or anything along those lines? I know we don't have that same culture as Europe does with soccer ultras (although we somewhat have that with the Southsiders with the Whitecaps) but I think with how much of a die hard/grassroots supporters base there is, that we have a chance to bring that atmosphere here? It could be something small but maybe coordinating a chant for a player after they score, beyond just chanting their name (which is fun, but again just thinking bigger :) ).
