I'm going to be a first time DM and im writing my own story and im not the wealthiest person in the world and I have reached out to artist for drawings but the prices I've gotten are a little out of my budget. The work they do is deserving no one is arguing that, but I want my first time to be good, and being my first time, I may not be the greatest at painting full images with my words so I felt like I wanted images to help me out with that.

I don't plan on selling my story or anything so I was curious what people's thoughts on using AI to make images for my campaign with my friends? I'd much prefer art drawn by people but like I said I am not too wealthy. I don't plan on making their characters for them or anything, just spacific characters in my campaign unique to my story. It feels weird considering AI when I wqs so against it before but I wqs just looking for other people's thoughts.

I am currently writing my own DnD story and I was coming up with a boss that had a lot to do with Famine (Horesman), and i decided on Yeenoghu due to his hunger.
I wanted a lot of my boss fights to have unique ideas on how to defeat them, and wasn't sure how hard these concepts would be.

1 - A fight that gives out stones to each player with numbers on them, and during each round, the numbers would change, and there would be a pedestal connected with lines on the ground; the party would have to figure out how to weigh the scales evenly to damage the boss, which would weaken him, and if not scaled properly, be immune to damage.

2: The Yeenoghu would either appear like a, or just be an upscaled witherling and seem sickly and weak, and would only take damage from players who were also very weak or sick (added thing in the dungeon that would give them a sickness) . I thought this would be difficult since they would also be close to their death themselves and didn't want to accidentally kill them from it being too hard.

Both options I can see have flaws and upsides, both options i had ideas how to give players hints through the dungeon but i needed opinions from people that would not be playing in the story.

I'm open to suggestions as well

I've played this game so many times, I haven't beat it yet cause of one reason or another but im stuck in katno with 3 starts being a truant ladybug, Huge Power Victini and a speed boost Cobalion... I feel like im throwing not choosing victini but speed boost on a swords dance and calm mind mon feels too good to pass on so I came here for help 😱
