I was just prescribed Lexapro today by my PCP. I have a feeling it’s going to be very helpful for me, but I’m a bit nervous about the gastrointestinal side effects…

For context, I am a professional musician —

I have several gigs coming up the next few weeks that are 1hr + performances where I can’t be leaving stage during that time (for example, if I’m about to shit my pants).

In y’all’s experience, is the lexapro diarrhea the kind that’s like, oh, this is happening now whether I like it or not? Or is it manageable?

Trying to decide if I should wait for a more empty week to start…
