For your consideration here's my '99 e46 323i.

I found it abandoned a year ago, got in touch with the owner and had a look at the car, he wanted £400 for it, i drove it home basically on the spot. needs new discs, calipers, maf sensor, brake servo and a handbrake lever. then it's good to go.

best part yet, 72k miles.
