I got my hands on Twyla’s concert lurks outfit and accessories, and immediately thought of my personal experience of listening to Olivia Rodrigo’s new album. So here’s her emotional roller coaster, with Dustin helping console her.

The happiness of getting the new album, and listening to “drop dead”, “stupid song”, and “honeybee”. Starting to paint her nails during “maggots for brains”, and “u+me=<3” gets a little tear after she finishes her first hand. She finishes her manicure with “my way” and then “purple” starts to hit some tug at some strings until “the cure” breaks her down. Then she is full on tears down her face with “begged” “what’s wrong with me” and “less” Dustin gives her a tea and snack after “expectations” temporarily gets her mood up, and convinces her to maybe just go to bed. But she can’t sleep until she finishes the album. She plays “cigarette smoke” and hits full existential crisis before just letting the album sit with her. Then she decides to play it again and nods off to sleep. Dustin makes sure to wake her in the morning with another tea- knowing that she definitely cried a little more last night.

Also thank you to my self scare Spectra for lending her record player and manicure kit to Twyla- she wanted to have a fresh mani for her upcomjno Hordez concert! She even has her outfit picked out and hanging on her bed.

Selling my Mooncat duplicates, they all are BNIB(40 bottles of polish, 37 colors). There are current shades and 11 dearly departed shades (14 bottles). I’ve also included 3 BNIB Swamp Gloss Loki polishes that are glow in the dark, and a OPI Infinite Shine Wicked polish in “OPI'm Phosphorescent!”. 💋 indicate dearly departed colors.

Ideally I’d like to sell everything together for $400 with shipping included, paid with PayPal goods and services. If this doesn’t sell within a few days or so I will split everything up. If you have an interest in four or more polishes please feel free to reach out and I will let you have first dibs if I split the lot. Polishes would average $10-$15 a bottle with a flat $8 shipping, if I end up splitting up.

OPI Infinite Shine
OPI'm Phosphorescent!

I’m personally not a fan of Clawdeen’s scary sweet 1600 look, so I decided to pivot to her Monster Ball suit, but added the studded chest harness from 1600. She’s a pretty low effort restyle; boil washed and used straws to curl her hair and added a braid to her bun; painted the details into her accessories, and gave her a mani pedi. I’m still so happy with how she came out and how she looks with Cupid and Draculaura! Slowly getting more familiar with making them pose for their pictures. My next project is Cleo, and for her I’m adding Clawdeen’s 1600 cage skirt, and mixing elements from Cleo’s core refresh 2, scary sweet 1600, and monster ball for her ensemble. Still trying to figure out how I want Draculaura’s party to look, while keeping the vibes from her box art.

I’m slowly doing restyles on my scary sweet 1600 dolls, eventually I’d love to make a whole diorama of her party. Draculaura is already pretty perfect to me out of the box, i just painted details into her accessories, gave her a full coverage black cherry lip, boil washed and styled her pigtails into rope twists, and added fishnet tights. I adore how she looks with the Cupid I restyled. My next project is Clawdeen in her Monster Ball suit, because I’m just not a fan of her scary sweet 1600 look, but I do think I’ll be using pieces of that doll on some of the other girls.

I’m pretty new to doll collecting, and very new to monster high, but after having a small collection of skullectors, I decided to branch out into play line dolls! I already love making dioramas and scenes, and decided to try a proper restyle! This was my first attempt at a boil wash, and styling doll hair, I also did a small change in her lipstick, gave her a manicure, and then just painted accessories and her clothes for a darker aesthetic. I have to say, I am obsessed with styling their hair now, and definitely have gone all in on painting accessories and now even furniture I’m working on for more dioramas. Cupid’s hair is definitely giving me Pamela Anderson’s messy bun vibes- and I can’t get enough of it

I just started collecting Monster High playtime dolls recently. I’ve collected a few skullector dolls and have been fighting the urge to take them out of their plastic prisons, so I delved into gen 3! Honestly, I’m kind of obsessed. I went to Michael’s and picked up a scrapbook paper collection for $5.99 and the pages fit into my little curio cabinet space perfectly! The cabinet itself is actually vintage, it belonged previously to my Grandma, I just painted it a more baby pink instead of its original dusty rosie pink. I can’t wait to change out the scenes, I’m planning on getting Clawdeen’s bedroom set, and maybe a gen 1 die-ner.
