Fuel canisters in the Philippines?

Fuel canisters in the Philippines?

Hello all,

I'll be moving to the Philippines next year (from the US) and I'm preparing items to bring.

Among my hammock, boots, and hiking sticks, I'm thinking of bring my MSR jet stove.

Are these fuel canisters readily available? If so, where and roughly what is the cost? I'm unable to balikbayan box them for obvious reasons.

Anything else I should be considering?

Thank you.

WV State Fair during late-morning/noon? Worth going?

Will be passing through Lewisburg while the state fair is happening, but the timing looks like it'll be in the late morning (maybe noon) on a Friday.

Not looking at going on rides, but it could be nice to stretch my legs and walk around for about 30mins or so. Maybe try some unique state fair food or pickup a souvenir.

Is it worth going during that time? Any recommendations on a must have food to try? (there is a three year old comment here to try the cinny roll)

I've never been to this state fair and clueless on what to expect.

Thanks kindly!

Balikbayan box must haves?

Hi all,

My wife and I are on track for arrival next year Spring/Summer and thinking about sending a Balikbayan box to ourselves to have bare necessities of things that are very difficult to find or substitute.

What are some items that you would send to yourself? Consider both mens and women's items.

Not so much about peanut butter, cookies, or heads & shoulders shampoo (I see these are in Landers!) I'm thinking about hard to find items like quality razor blades, shoes, etc. Things that make economical sense. For example, I have a nice carbon steel pan, is this even worth shipping over?

Help us fill this box!

Got a good, forgotten motorcycle helmet laying around?

Kicking around the idea of getting motorcycle certified at VWCC later this year but not ready to get a motorcycle just yet. Either way, at least I'll know how ride a motorcycle.

The class provides the motorcycle, but I've got to have the helmet.

Therefore, do you have a motorcycle helmet laying around collecting dust that you want to get rid of? I'll buy, rent, or borrow (if willing) for a weekend. :)

My wife is thinking about joining me in the class, so even better if you've got two

I know there is FB marketplace, but I like reddit more than FB.

Thanks kindly.

Edit - Whatever sizing that works with 22.75-inch
