Anyone else who actually prefers to work night shifts?
I may be in the minority here, but I prefer working night hours over usual day hours.
It's usually much more chill in my experience to work night shifts, while crazy things can absolutely happen during night shifts, it can happen regardless of what time of day it is. I like how it's usually less busy during night hours, less people around, and there's less competition for night shifts in the first place since a majority of people don't want them. I generally operate and do better with night shifts than I ever did with day shifts.
A lot of this might be due to the fact I'm already a night owl myself, so it works better with my life than someone who lives a daytime-oriented life. I have no problem staying on a night schedule on days off (its actually really unhealthy to flip between days and nights anyway, making people work constantly rotating shifts should be illegal imo)
I feel bad for day people who are forced into night shifts, it's genuinely tiring when you gotta fight against your natural rhythm every day. Sometimes I wish employers prioritized putting night people on night shifts and day people on day shifts. They would have lower turnover rates for night shifts if they did so.
