First time ever making a song with my synth (behringer deepmind 12) and using a DAW. I am very much open to feedback

i want to take my bass to uni for practice and potential gigging, but my family members and teacher are against it because it’s a valuable 1970s fender precision which was originally my granddad’s. i am naturally very cautious so i will obviously keep my door locked and plan to hide the bass somewhere in my room instead of keeping out it in the open. my family still aren’t convinced though and want me to get a cheap bass to take. i’m sort of tempted to because obviously getting a new bass is a fun thing, but idk i wanna play the bass im most comfortable with. thoughts?

as the title suggests, I get nosebleeds more than the average person. usually this wouldn't concern me because they typically last for 2-3 minutes, and I can do my work while blotting my nose with a tissue. however, I recently had one which went on and off in an interval lasting 2 hours, with some bursts lasting up to 30 minutes. is it too late to ask for some special consideration? what would the scenario be like if one of these severe nosebleeds occured during an exam?
