Problematic foreign student
*this story is about my friend’s group assignment, not mine specifically.
We had an assignment on financial management where we needed to write a report on any company that we choose and to make a presentation video. My friend, A, and her group were all doing fine allocating the task fairly until there was this one guy, he tried to claim A’s part of the group assignment and blamed her for doing “his” part even though task were already delegated. All this just because he didn’t understand the difference between his scope and A’s scope. And so the guy confronted A in their group chat and immediately got bashed on by their team leader BUT STILL REFUSED TO COOPERATE AND ACTUALLY DO HIS PART. The funny part? He never wrote a single thing. Cause A and the group leader were always checking the report and no other adjustments were ever made. Up until now the guy still blames A for doing “his” part while he never actually did anything lol. Then for the video, the guy stirred up problems again by claiming A’s part AGAIN and accusing of someone sabotaging him. The whole group got tired of him and eventually checked on Canva’s history (checking time, who edited what) AND THAT GUY NEVER TOUCHED THE CANVA LINK EVER EXCEPT FOR THE PREVIOUS 3 MINUTES. As proof, the team leader even screen recorded the entire history log to shut him up. By then he did his work but legit he was just repeating what his other groupmates were saying. The team leader in the end decided NOT to remove his name EVENTHOUGH HE WAS PROBLEMATIC AND OTHER STUDENTS EVEN KNEW HE WAS PROBLEMATIC TOO. So despite not doing any work whatsoever, he got an A+ for the assignment from my friends group doing all the work
