Flight leaves in an hour

PD299/POE299

It’s my first time in almost a decade, and I’m absolutely not looking forward to it at all. If someone could track and help me stay grounded mentally, I’d appreciate it! I’m hoping once we’re cruising I’ll be able to sit back and realize it’s not that bad.

Flying for the first time in nearly a decade this week!

It's not a super long flight (2-2.5 hours), but I'm not looking forward to it at all. I really struggle with acceleration, takeoff, and knowing that I'm thousands of feet in the air. Are there any good techniques I could try employing during takeoff especially? I'm hoping I'll be fine once we reach cruising altitude, but honestly the entire time I'm just going to be hoping the flight ends.

Found the Official 1971 Player Photo Sticker Book stashed away in my parents’ basement

Unfortunately we were the victims of a flood on Canada Day, meaning we had to go through a bunch of old boxes that were water damaged. This book was hidden among it all, and it’s fully completed with all 9 teams. Fun blast from the past.

Flying for the first time in 9 years this summer

I'm sure a lot of what I say here has been said a ton before, so feel free to point out other threads for helpful info.

I'm generally a pretty anxious person, I don't like heights, and I don't like acceleration. I do understand that flying is safe, but unfortunately my mind always goes to the worst case scenario. It's thankfully only a 2-3 hour flight but I'm still not looking forward to it, especially with it being at night. Not entirely sure what I'm looking for from this thread, maybe general advice/tips on how to make the most of it without being a nervous wreck the whole time.
