The registration period for (non-mayoral) candidates for the 2026 Municipal Elections (City Council, BSD Trustees) opened on Tuesday. Some early birds have already registered. Mostly familiar names at this stage:

• Ward Councilors

• BSD Trustees

• (For completeness) City Mayor

Check in regularly to those pages if you want to keep an eye. Find your council ward with this map.

There is a map on the City's site for the BSD boundaries but not for the two BSD wards (Urban, Rural). Please comment if you know of a better one.

If you're interested in being a candidate for office, you must first register with the Senior Election Official before (I think end of day) September 22nd. Lots of information on the City website: https://www.brandon.ca/city-hall/election/
