/r/laundry is the best of the internet.

Spa day has significantly improved my confidence that I can take care of my things. It's amazing that a box of Tide Clean & Gentle and a new bucket has made gross-looking laundry unrecognizably clean.

I didn't grow up in a "clean" family - nothing smelled, the dishes got washed, the laundry was done (with detergent), and we all took showers - but not much else was taught. Because of what I've gathered from r/laundry, I'm now finding the joy at 35 of taking that second step to care for what we've invested in.

Thank you to all of the people who contribute to this subreddit and those like it. While the internet has proven detrimental in so many ways, the opportunity for people to contribute information and experience publicly and communally is what makes humanity better. It's light years from what we would have had to do pre-internet to learn any thing new - purchase a million issues of women's magazines, hunt for info in newspapers, watch hours of TV, or hope that the library had books on the topic.

In some ways, it's just laundry, but to me, it's so much more. Thank you again.
