'24 Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV Scraping Sound
We've had our 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid since 2025 and for some time we've had brake squeaking. Hyundai were taking forever for an appointment so we took to our local mechanic who promptly replaced the brake pads in May. Shortly after the replacement, the brakes started squaking agian, and the mechanic said to book in with Hyundai who need to look at it which is now set for November 3. The brake only squeaks when we are at the final portion of the brake when the car is slow and close to stopping. It may be worth noting that the car also groans / creaks when we accelerate or decelerate the car from a starting position.
THEN, while driving tonight we start hearing scraping sound, I tried to capture on video. What is this?
What should I do?
I am not a car person so your help is greatly appreciated.
Never buying a Hyundai again.
