Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some advice and opinions about my rhinoplasty. I got my rhinoplasty done three months ago today, and my surgeon was very honest with me from the beginning. He took a look at my nose and told me I wasn't going to be able to achieve the tiny "Barbie nose" look due to my skin thickness and nose size. At the time, I honestly didn't care about having a Barbie nose, I just wanted my dorsal hump gone. He told me he could reduce the hump and do some tip work, which i was fine with.
Now that I'm three months post-op (I know I got what I asked for) I can't help feeling like my nose still looks "too big." (Especially the 45 degree angle) I think I assumed that once the hump was gone, my nose would automatically look much smaller overall. and I'm grateful the hump is gone. Even my surgeon told me that my nose was a little on the bigger side during my one month post op in the nicest way possible, and I reiterated that i was fine with that. I was honestly just excited that the hump was gone.
For those of you who ended up getting a revision rhinoplasty, was it worth it? Right now, my plan is to leave my nose alone for at least two years before making any decisions since I know healing takes a long time. If I do eventually get a revision, my goal wouldn't be a Barbie nose, I would just want my nose to look a little closer to my face like the last pic.
Did any of your perspectives change as the swelling continued to go down, or did you ultimately decide on a revision?
