Guys... I fear the time has come. My 11 year old Fenix 3 is slowly dying.

Some time ago I noticed it was tracking way more stairs climbed than I actually climbed. So I just disabled that activity.

But then at the end of this April it started registering an elevation of around 6900 meters on my daily walks (the real elevation is around 1500). And I noticed the barometer was around 20 with some spikes around 70s. The temperature is always a couple degrees over the real temperature in my area.

From what I've searched, that sensor might be broken. I've already soaked and rinsed the watch, and cleaned the port on the side.

I'm thinking of trying to downgrade the firmware to discard a software issue, but the outlook is grim.

Fenix 7 is still out of my budget. So, I'll hold on to my 3 until it's gone for good.

I was playing with my bottle and a terrible accident happened.

I was spinning it from the plastic thingy that holds the cap, and it flew in slow motion before it hit the floor. Half of it was a block of ice so it broke immediately. RIP.

Del 15 al 17 de mayo está la Feria de los tamales y pan de pulque en la plaza principal de Ramos Arizpe. Aquí unas fotos de hoy viernes en la tarde.

Hay mucha variedad de vendedores, y de tamales. Los tradicionales (pollo, puerco, frijoles, queso, chicharrón), tamales en hoja de plátano, tamales de acelgas, tamales dulces (piña, fresa, zarzamora). Las docenas andan en 130 para los tradicionales, la pieza en 15 pesos, y algunos de dulce o mas grandes en 40 pesos.

De pan también hay de todo: Semitas, empanadas, galletas, bollos con y sin relleno...

También venta de aguas frescas, champurrado, salsa y crema de elote.

Hoy viernes en la tarde ya estaban prácticamente todos los vendedores y había poca gente.

TLDR: I changed my usual routine getting out of my FJ and accidentally left the driver-side door wide open for a couple of hours. My alarm armed without a problem because my door sensor is faulty and never saw that the door was open.

A few days ago, I got to my workshop and parked in the usual crowded lot. That morning I had a couple of heavy items on the passenger side, so I walked around to that side, grabbed them, and then got my tools from the trunk. I walked away from the truck on the passenger side, looked back to make sure the doors were closed, and set my (stock) alarm. It gave a short beep as it should. I even double-checked the passenger side window from afar because it looked like it might be cracked open, but it was fully closed.

A couple of hours later, a stranger came into the shop and told me my door was open. He works in a maintenance office nearby and noticed it had been open for way too long. He assumed from my tools that I’d be in the workshop.

Turns out, my driver side door sensor is damaged. When I open that door, the "door open" light on the dashboard doesn't turn on, which is why the alarm armed correctly despite it being open. Normally, if any door is left open, the stock alarm gives a long warning beep. Because my "parking-exit-set alarm" routine is usually mechanical, changing it up by going to the passenger side first must have distracted me enough to leave the door swinging. And the alarm beeped OK.

Right now I’m waiting for the replacement sensor to arrive, and that'll be today's fix on the FJ.

Edit: I just realized I used driver side instead of passenger side a couple of times. It's corrected now.

Les comparto un archivo que hice con los horarios y ubicación de los mercaditos en la ciudad. Espero a alguien más le sirva.

DIRECTORIO DE MERCADITOS SALTILLO 2026

Hace poco más de un año intenté visitarlos todos, y la mayoría están ahí, pero hay algunos (de los muy pequeños) que no encontré o que no he visitado. Si alguien sabe si realmente no existen o hay algún error, por favor avísenme para editarlo.

Les dejo también aquí directo los que a mi parecer son los mejores:

Mirasierra - Sábados y Domingos por la mañana. A mi parecer es mejor en Domingo.

Guayulera - Sábados y Domingos por la mañana. A mi gusto se volvió aburrido y no cambia mucho cada que se pone. Pero es el tradicional.

Bellavista - Jueves por la mañana.

Saltillo 2000 - Domingos por la mañana

Mirasierra Palmas - Viernes por la tarde.

Tengo algunos de Ramos Arizpe y Arteaga, pero quisiera conseguir todos o la mayoría para también agregarlos. Si alguien tiene información de esos se lo agradecería.

Ojo: Al editar para dar formato pudo quedar alguna dirección equivocada. Revisen bien la ubicación (colonia) antes de ir. No vayan a terminar al otro lado de la ciudad por error.

Agradecimiento público a los autores de este artículo y este mapa, ya que de ahí saqué la mayoría de la información y solo confirmé las ubicaciones y las puse en un archivo más accesible.
