A large part of my family immigrated to Kansas from Canada, Iowa to Kansas, Illinois to Kansas. I am struggling to find birth, death and marriage records for several people. I have reached out to the Kansas Historical society both by phone and email. But to date I have not heard back on any requests.

Does anyone here have any experience on how to go about finding these records? I know the dates needed can be hit or miss as to if and where records were kept. I would just like to converse with someone with knowledge so I can either chalk it up to a lost cause, pursue it further, or look at other avenues of research. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
