Recipes for Nurse Girlfriend

Hi everyone,
My girlfriend works in the ER at a Level 1 trauma center, so as you can imagine, her shifts can be incredibly hectic and stressful. When she brings her meal prep to work, she often barely gets a chance to eat. As a result, she sometimes comes home feeling pretty unwell from not eating enough throughout her shift.

I’d love to help her out by preparing some easy, nutritious foods that she can grab and eat quickly whenever she gets a spare minute. Does anyone have any healthy recipe ideas or snacks that I could make to get her through her day?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Moving away from ear plugs…

I’ve been swimming for several years and recently joined a Masters swim team. I have dry earwax, and when water gets into my ears, the wax tends to swell and trap the water in my ear. To prevent this, I usually wear earplugs while swimming.

Now that I’m training with a team, I’d like to be able to hear my coach’s instructions and communicate more easily with other swimmers. Are there any preventive measures, such as ear drops or other treatments, that can help keep water from getting trapped in my ears so I can avoid using earplugs during practice?

Has anyone with a similar issue found an effective solution?

Ironman 70.3 Return, it’s time…

The parkway is completed to explorer park, the paving is absolutely immaculate. Maybe the only time I’ll praise the federal government… ever.

I know the Blue Ridge Ironman 70.3 pulled out due to the conditions of the parkway. With these changes done, who do we have to lobby to get this back in Roanoke? It was such a good event, and with the push of Roanoke being a hub for outdoor sports, it would be great to have it here again.

If it takes a group of us here to push for this again, I’m here to help. Just don’t know who we need to get on board to get it back. Open to suggestions!
