Rent-controlled apartment you somehow inherited. Converted storefront. Apartment inside a building that was clearly never supposed to be an apartment. Absurdly cheap place with an equally absurd catch. Weird landlord arrangement. Giant loft you pay nothing for because you moved in in 1986.
