It sounds simple until you start looking at what else is tied into that wall. Could be ductwork, electrical, or something else you now have to move too. Suddenly a couple feet isn't such a small change.
Anyone else hear “can we just…” and already know where this is going?
A project can be going fine, then someone leaves or it gets handed over to someone else and a bunch of important context gets lost. What do you make sure gets passed along besides the usual docs and task list?
Was it during planning, once construction started, or near the end when all the little decisions started adding up? What part of the build gave you the most headaches?
