Crib/bed options for #1 with #2 coming

I cannot figure out what to do.

My oldest is still in a crib and I want to keep him in a crib for as long as he isn’t climbing out.

With #2 on the way, I think I’m gonna have that kid keep the crib and buy something by new for #1

In my head, that could either be a convertible crib, for when he’s ready for a toddler bed, or go right to a floor bed with tall rails & a gate.

My issue with the convertible crib is they all look small after you convert them, and my kid is kinda big. My issue with the floor bed is I’m not sure they make tall enough rails where he wouldn’t be able to climb out.

Really curious to hear what has worked for everyone else and any products you have really liked!

2hr or 3hr test - need advice

2nd time mom here who had GD the first time around.

I tested earlier this pregnancy. Failed the 1hr, but passed the 3hr (yay!)

I have to do another screening at 26wks and my doctor gave me the option to do a 2hr test or the 3hr again.

A part of me thinks I somehow have better odds at passing the 3 hour test because there are more readings to choose from, but my doctor says both are equally reliable for diagnosis.

Just curious if anyone else has had this choice and can share what you chose?

Parents with hello baby monitor

Trying to figure out if I need to get a new monitor with baby #2 coming. We have the hello baby monitor which I love for the simplicity/no ties to WiFi.

It says it can support 2-4 cameras with 1 monitor. But I’m curious how it works - can you hear/see both babies at once? Or do you have to toggle between?

Thanks in advance!

I’m sad - just failed my 1 hour test with my 2nd baby

Had GD with my first. I thought there were signs that this pregnancy might be different and I might be one of the lucky ones, but nope. Failed the 1 hour test today.

AND they made me take it at 18 weeks this time around, so have to deal with this for an extra 2ish months.

UGHHHHHHHHH
