Widow tax trap
Is there a simple way to model a plan that automatically cuts pension in half, 50% survivor benefit, and then adjusts tax impacts as a function of spouse one end of life age?

New to PL and initially impressed with intuitiveness but have run into a situation I can’t figure out related to Roth conversions while planning for multi generational wealth transfer. My objective is to maximize ending estate value, without passing any tax liability to kids for inheritance.
I am running the Roth conversion optimizer but it always forces the solution to annual 24% tax rate cap that results in a large unconverted amount in tax deferred account at the end of the planning horizon at 85. I want to see the cases for the tax deferred balance to be at zero and preferably all converted to Roth before RMD.
How do I create an optimized plan that has accelerated Roth conversions that avoids tax deferred balances by the end of planning horizon?
Visiting in mid August and arriving SEATAC early afternoon on a Tuesday. Will drive from airport to Port Angeles but debating the best route. We would prefer a ferry route for the additional experience and view but have heard bad stories about potential delays. Hoping to stop somewhere along the route for food provisions for the week.
Thoughts on best route or the potential tradeoffs?
Thanks

We will be staying at Kalaloch Lodge in mid August. Any restaurant recommendations , other than the hotel Creekside Restaurant, for dinner reservations that we should consider? Particularly hoping for memorable sunset view. Thanks
Excellent, simple easy to understand communication from company to address recent short and supply noise. Another great example of the excellent leadership this company has
